Play and Construction

It's a very bright sunny day. You can sence the humidity
will come here soon.
The winds are so calm that a windsurfer can barely
keep his board moving. He actually fell over right
after I took this picture.
The 406 bridge is coming along.
Those piers are being built relatively quickly.
The spans are at least 1/3 installed.
It's gonna be a nice bridge.

Discovery Landing, Atlantis Moving

The Discovery streaked across the sky overhead this
morning before it flew out to sea, burned of some energy
and turned for its landing at KSC. This is the 4th time
I've been here to watch a spaceship land. One was on the
back of a modified 747.
The Atlantis was suppose to start its trek out to pad 39A
this evening but NASA decided that there would be rain and
lightning in the neighborhood so they postponed until 6 AM
on wednesday.
It's a busy week.
The X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle will launch atop an Atlas V.
Launch Time: 7:52 p.m. to 8:01 p.m. EDT
Launch Complex: 41 Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
Mission: A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket carrying a
technology demonstration spaceplane known as the X-37B
Orbital Test Vehicle.
Then there was Air Force One, the president paid a visit
last thursday to let everyone know the new direction that
NASA will take.
Busy week.

St. Johns River Floodplain Flooded

The St. Johns River is spreading thru it's floodplain.
If I remember correctly, (I question my memory more often
these days)this is not suppose to happen this early.
The flooding river. Not my memory.
When hurrican season starts and a few tropical
depressions linger over Florida this usually happens.
Of course it has rained all winter and a low pressure
system just passed over south & central florida.
It's having an affect.

Oleanders Are Blooming

The Oleander bushes are blooming. They are beautiful and deadly.
